About Hugsi
Hugsi - a Seattle based tech startup - created the concept of a “gifting language,” providing users with better gift suggestions for themselves and their loved ones. As a startup company in its early stages, my role afforded me experience on various digital marketing projects and frequent interaction with executives. I was able to frequently share my ideas and have a tangible impact on the company.
Responsibilities
- Conducting competitor research
- Compiling lists of journalist contacts for outreach initiatives
- Exploring new potential customer bases
- Identifying relevant influencers aligned with Hugsi's mission
- Participating in professional development coaching sessions.
Impact
Market Research Discovery
During a routine research project, I identified a previously unknown segment of the gifting service industry: gifting concierge services. These companies offer similar services to Hugsi at a luxury price point. This discovery revealed a valid competitor targeting an audience similar to ours.
